Gucci does not flow into the Weihe River, but flows to Shendian (Xukou and Gusu) in Xun County, turns to the northeast, passes through Guandian, Tongshan, Baisi Mountain, Wan Ren Mountain, Wengcheng and Jiangcun, and then flows forward into the ancient Yellow River. In 494 BC, in the eighteenth year of Jin Dinggong, due to the diversion of the Yellow River, Qihe River was injected southward, and the old Qihe River below Shendian was cut off.

In 204 AD, in the ninth year of Jian 'an, Emperor Xian of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao led an army to prevent Qihe River from entering Baigou (now Weihe River), and Qihe River became a tributary of Weihe River.

Qihe River is one of the least polluted rivers in northern China, with small sediment concentration, clear water flow and sweet taste, and its water quality has remained above the national second-class standard all the year round.
