Do I need to notarize my transcripts in Hong Kong to apply for a Canadian student visa?
No need. I just took care of it. I studied in Hong Kong and applied for a high school in Canada this year. Both the notary office and agent Redford confirmed that the transcripts in Hong Kong need not be notarized, but those in the mainland will do.
Canadian student visa preparation materials:
1. Prepared by myself:
Visa form, original passport and photos (photos require visa photos within six months), original household registration book, copy of the front and back of student ID card, room book, car book and visa fee.
2. Issued by the notary office:
Notarization of kinship or birth certificate, both of which can be issued; Students above 18 also need to issue a notarial certificate with no criminal record.
① If it is necessary to notarize the kinship, bring the household registration book and the ID cards of parents and students to the notary office where the household registration is located for notarization.
(2) To issue a birth certificate, you need to bring the birth certificate and the household registration book to the notary office where the household registration is located.
(3) Notarization of no criminal record requires students to take the form, household registration book and ID card to the local police station where the household registration is located to issue a certificate of no criminal record, and then go to the local notary office for notarization.
It should be noted that in some places, it is necessary to open a form with no criminal record at the notary office, then stamp it at the police station and take it to the local notary office for notarization.
⑤ In addition, if the students are under the age of 18, they also need the vaccine notarization and guardianship notarization used when applying for the school at that time.
3. The school issued:
The latest report card, original certificate of studying or graduation certificate, IELTS or TOEFL report card, etc.
4. Issued by the bank:
Certificate of deposit of overseas funds and one-year statement of the corresponding account. Deposit certificates need to be frozen for 3-6 months.
5. Issued by the parents' work unit:
Proof of parents' on-the-job income, 1.5 year salary card statement, personal income tax statement.
6. Issued by the physical examination center:
Carry the original passport or ID card with you for physical examination, and go to the clinic designated by the Canadian Embassy for physical examination.
