Plot summary of Vikings Season 2

From the 9th century AD to the 11th century AD, a large number of Scandinavians (Scandinavians, mainly referring to today's Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland) left their homeland for places they had never been to. Traveling through the places in search of wealth, these warriors who were good at seafaring were called Vikings or Norsemen in history books. Some of the Vikings crossed the Atlantic to the British Isles in the then extremely advanced new "dreadnoughts" and plundered coastal areas - especially monasteries that had no power to fight back. Some Vikings extended their tentacles to the hinterland of the European continent, and even parts of contemporary Russia, Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland. Over the next three centuries, they were labeled various names for their actions: pirates, marauders, merchants, immigrants. The play describes the story of the Vikings in their heyday. They were dominant in the Nordic region at that time. They were nicknamed "Vikings" because of their love of maritime plunder and constant expansion. The play will focus on describing the entire process of Viking life, trade, exploration and foreign invasion.
