Among these four cities, culture is the most obvious. Chaoshan area has a tradition of doing business, and it is particularly close to the group. In the early days, this kind of group development is easy to achieve results, but it is also because this family-style group will affect the injection of fresh blood in the later period, thus hindering economic development. Therefore, many Chaoshan bosses began to develop in these areas of Shenzhen, and the capital outflow and industrial outflow also led to the slow economic development of Shantou.

With the adjustment of urban administrative divisions in eastern Guangdong, Shantou's administrative advantages are weakening day by day, and it will be more difficult for Shantou to have new forces in an increasingly standardized social environment.
