Introduction of Xinquan Township

Xinquan Township is a township under the jurisdiction of Luxi County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. Located in the southeast of Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, at the foot of Wugong Mountain, a scenic national scenic spot and national geological park, it is adjacent to Wanlongshan Township, Zhangjiafang Township and Luxi Town of Anfu County, 46 kilometers away from Pingcheng, 0/9 kilometers away from the county seat/kloc-0, and 24 kilometers away from Shanghai-Switzerland Expressway. It used to be the seat of the Soviet government and the place where Chen Yi, Xiao Ke and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation fought. In 2003, it merged with Matian Township, with a total population of 26,800 in early 2009. Jurisdiction over Chen, Donganli, Tanshuxia, Shangshi, Xinquan, Yanjiafang, Shouxia, Immigrant, Hekeng, Qiaoling, Yangjiawan, Tou, Shenzi, Longwangtan Scenic Resort Scenic Area, Dajiang and Matian.
