Deep in the Daxinganling Mountains, there is an ancient nation, the last hunting tribe. If you think Genhe is the hometown of Aoluguya, you are actually wrong. They used to be a traditional mountain hunting nation and one of the four Ewenki families. At present, the population is only over 200. However, it is this small ethnic group that treasures the legendary stories of three generations.

1. Deer Soul-68

The most famous member of Aoluguya should be the painter Liu Ba. As the first college student in the tribe, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Central University for Nationalities and was later assigned to Art editor of Inner Mongolia Publishing House. Her mother is a shaman of the tribe and is responsible for channeling. In order to save the people in the tribe, every time a person is saved, a son dies in exchange, and after his death, his son dies. But she never hesitates when she saves people. Liu Ba has a childhood boy, but she married another girl in college. From then on, Liu Ba began to drink alcohol, but drinking did inspire a lot of creative inspiration. Many paintings are related to this boy. There was once an international competition in which young artists from all over the country selected their works for exhibition, and only six people were shortlisted, and she was the only author who could not participate in the exhibition with the team because she was often drunk. More and more, she feels that the city life far away from home can't give her happiness and inspiration, as if wandering without roots. Finally, she returned to the mountains and danced with the reindeer. Her childhood memories and tribal life are the source of her creation. However, the good times did not last long. Because of her embarrassing status, she is regarded as a mountain dweller not only in the city but also in her hometown, and she is always out of place. So she started drinking again, and once fell into a shallow stream and drowned when she was drunk and washing clothes. She was 42 years old. Her story was also made into a film and won an award at the Berlin Film Festival. These paintings are collected by the Inner Mongolia Museum.

2. Last Chief-Mariaso

The legend of Aoluguya is the female chief Mariaso. In a male-dominated hunting tribe, there is such a female chief who is nearly a hundred years old and is the spiritual leader of the tribe.

She used to be a good helper of the late Sheikh's husband and an excellent Huntress. She was smart, modest and enthusiastic. She doesn't know Chinese, but she can guess the meaning of the other party through their intonation, tone, expression and body language, and can communicate effectively with the other party without translation. Ewenki is a people who are addicted to alcohol, but she never drinks, because many people, including her husband and the only college student in the tribe, lost their lives because of alcoholism, which made her very sad. In order to protect Ewenki culture and improve the living conditions of ethnic minorities, the government opened a reservation in Genhe River and invited Finnish designers to build wooden houses for them. Many ethnic minorities moved out of the mountains. However, Mariaso insisted on staying in the mountains. She thinks that Oruguayans who can't hunt without mountains are not Oruguayans. They have been Ewenki tribe for many years, and only they domesticate reindeer. But reindeer only eat this fresh alkaline salty moss on the mountain, and deer can't live without the mountain forest.

Her 100-year-old sister Malibu was sent to a nursing home at the foot of the mountain for the elderly. But she refused to leave. Just to protect and spread the ancient culture of Oulu, she left the mountain forest with her first ID card for the first time in her life when she went to Beijing to perform with the group. She was 92 years old. The protagonist of the contradiction award novel is based on her. Until now, she still stays alone in the birch tent on the mountain, guarding her reindeer.

3. Leader-Da Mana

Between the two generations, there is also an important Aoluguya, mana, the daughter of Chief Mariaso, who is an active advocate for Aoluguya people to walk out of the mountains.

It is conceivable that there are serious differences between her and the Sheikh's mother. As an important national backbone, Da mana was sent to Beijing to study, where she got to know the city and made friends with her classmates who became her first husband. For love, he returned to the tribe with great power, but the strong gap between the city and the hunting tribe made him feel uncomfortable. On the surface, he was strong, cheerful and optimistic, and as a result, he pointed his gun at himself. Da mana's second husband was also very kind to her. In order to buy textbooks for their son, he rode a reindeer down the mountain. When he came back, the reindeer was surprised by the accident, and he fell off the cliff unfortunately. This incident also became evidence that Mariaso prevented the tribe from going down the mountain, saying that it was a sign that deer could not go down the mountain.

However, da mana still insisted on letting young people walk out of the mountains and into modern life. Only in this way can the nation have hope. In the referendum, all but one abstained and agreed to go down the mountain. Those who abstain from voting are well aware. Da Mana led his people to their new home in Genhe, realizing ecological migration, rebuilding their homes, doing experiments to domesticate reindeer under the mountain, and proving to his mother that reindeer can go down the mountain with practical actions.
