Do I need a medical examination before applying for a UK visa?

British visas do not require a physical examination. Except for a few countries that require a physical examination, no other country requires a physical examination.

For overseas students to study abroad, except for some countries that do not need to apply for a visa, most countries need to apply for an entry visa in advance from the embassy or consulate in China. For students studying in the UK, physical examination is not compulsory. However, from December 31, 2013, all people applying to study or work in the UK, as long as the application period is more than six months, are required to undergo this tuberculosis test. Before you apply for a visa, you must be examined at a designated hospital and confirmed to be free of tuberculosis.

You must take the test at a hospital designated by the UK Home Office. Tests performed at unauthorized hospitals will not be recognized.
