Australian spouse immigration: how do spouses apply for an Australian immigrant visa?

Basic materials required for Australian spouse immigration visa:

1. A copy of the applicant's passport;

2. A certified copy of the identity certificate, passport or Australian birth certificate of the guarantor who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident;

3. The birth notarization of each applicant;

4. Notary certificate of each applicant 16 years old and above with no criminal record;

5. 8 recent photos of the applicant and his daughter and 6 recent photos of the guarantor;

6. Proof of the guarantor's employment in Australia, including employment letter (income should be indicated), payroll or tax bill issued by his employer;

7. Written statements of the applicant and the guarantor on the establishment and development of the partnership;

10. If one of the applicant or guarantor is widowed, please provide the notarization of the death of the deceased spouse;

12. Proof of husband-wife relationship, which may include but not limited to the following contents:

Proof that the applicant and the guarantor * * * live together in China and maintain a family. For example, common housing lease agreement, common property, mail sent to the same address for a considerable period of time, community pass with residential address, temporary residence permit, foreigner work permit, etc.

Proof that the applicant and the guarantor keep in touch when they live in two places. Such proof materials can include letters (including the contents of envelopes and letters), telephone bills, printed pages of IP cards and emails (including the date of sending and receiving), online chat records, short message records, etc.

Prove that the relationship between the applicant and the guarantor is known to relatives and friends. For example, the photo taken by the applicant and the guarantor with the third party in the whole process of relationship development and the cognitive statements or affidavits of relatives and friends about your relationship (Form 888). These statements must be accompanied by the identity card and contact telephone number of the presenter.

Prove that the applicant and the guarantor have the same economic arrangement, or provide financial assistance to each other in the process of developing relationship/marriage.

Proof that the applicant and the guarantor share the responsibility of raising children.

If the applicant and the guarantor have lived together in Australia, they can provide any relevant proof, such as joint housing lease agreement, common utility bill and rent receipt.
