The Law School of Renmin University of China held the World Law Student Forum.

Law School of Renmin University of China successfully held "20 16 World Law Students Forum". The theme of this forum is "Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of vulnerable groups with legal weapons". Twenty-two teachers and students from 12 countries or regions attended the forum and gave keynote speeches, which were divided into four parts: region and the world, consumers and labor, procedural guarantee and children and family.

The Law School of Renmin University of China has formed a complete talent training system, and it is the first batch of units in China that have been approved as the national key discipline of law and have the right to confer doctoral degrees. The doctoral and master's programs cover both disciplines. It has 1 national key first-class disciplines (including all two disciplines) and 4 national key two disciplines, and has established the first post-doctoral mobile station of law (including all doctoral disciplines) with approval.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Meng Yanbei from the Law School of Renmin University of China. Professor Han Dayuan, Dean of Law School, gave a welcome speech, warmly welcomed the arrival of law students from all over the world, and gave a brief speech with Professor Ding Xiangshun on the social responsibility of law students. Dean Han pointed out that law students are open-minded and have diverse ways of thinking. It is not only the result of many years' vigorous advocacy of multicultural interconnection, but also the embodiment of their own consciousness of transcending the destiny of the country and the nation. Only when all countries brainstorm and work together can the basic rights of vulnerable groups be effectively guaranteed. Professor Ding Xiangshun not only spoke highly of the courage of NPC Law School to assume social responsibilities, but also provided a valuable platform for law students all over the world to exchange ideas.

Professor Lloyd Wilson of mckenney Law School of Indiana University and Professor Renzhi Aoki, Director of hitotsubashi university Asia Center, delivered speeches on behalf of partner universities. They said that during the more than 10 years of China Law Summer School of NPC Law School, they saw young people's energetic ideas every year, which injected fresh blood into their law study, which they could not have imagined when they went to college 30 years ago. Thanks to the Law School of the National People's Congress, law students who live in the present are so lucky that they can not only feel the rapid economic development and ancient and broad culture of China, but also exchange ideas and establish long-term friendship with such excellent law students all over the world.

The forum is divided into five units, and the speakers discuss legal issues in different fields from the following levels:

Unit 1 "Region and the World"

Comparison of marine environmental protection laws in the Asia-Pacific region, subsidies for voluntary evacuees from Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in Japan, medical insurance for illegal immigrants in Norway, a welfare country, rights of Korean refugees, rights of Australian aborigines and European immigrants.

Unit 2 "Consumers and Labor"

Establishing financial dispute mediation mechanism to protect financial consumers, labor protection in China, consumer protection in French civil law, low-income groups and China tax law, channels for financial investment products and information security.

Unit 3 "procedural guarantee"

Bankruptcy of legal aid workers in the field of criminal proceedings in Mongolia, decision-making of adults without capacity, justice realization under the international multi-level legal system, arbitration and vulnerable groups.

Unit 4 "Children and Family"

China's first anti-domestic violence law, the practice of guardian ad litem in divorce cases, South Africa's mediation system's assistance to children, and China's protection of the rights of left-behind children, migrant children and disabled children.

Unit 5 "Other Vulnerable Groups"

The rights of prisoners in Geneva prison, improving the quality of mobile comprehensive medical services through improving management and compensation structure, indigenous people in Brazilian tribal territories who oppose logging, and so on.

By comparing the current legal systems at home and abroad, on the one hand, the spokesman gave reflections and suggestions for improvement on the shortcomings of his own system, on the other hand, he also put forward ardent expectations for cooperation between countries and regions and the promotion of the protection of vulnerable groups. These unique perspectives from different countries and cultures not only provide a reference institutional framework for law students from other countries, but also open doors to some fields that they have never thought of before, providing them with a refreshing way of thinking to reflect on the problems existing in their own countries. Therefore, the audience kept asking questions and had a heated and wonderful discussion with the speaker.
