There are 9 cities (6 prefecture-level cities and 3 autonomous prefectures) in Guizhou, namely Guiyang, Zunyi, Liupanshui, Anshun, Bijie, tongren city, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.

Guizhou, the capital of Guiyang for short, is the transportation hub of southwest China. This used to be the territory of Yelang Kingdom. The elevation of Loushan Pass, the key pass of Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou, is1444m. South-central Miao Ling spans, with the main peak Leigong Mountain 2178m above sea level. In the northeast is Wuling Mountain, which winds from Hunan to Guizhou. The main peak, Fan Jingshan, is 2572 meters high.
