An example of emigrating to New Zealand
B2 You can apply for a B-2 visa for sightseeing, entertainment, visiting relatives and friends, seeking medical treatment, attending conferences, attending exhibitions and handling personal affairs in the United States. B-2 tourist visas are valid for 3 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 year and permanently, and the number of entry times is also valid for single entry and multiple entry. American embassies and consulates in different countries or regions, or different consuls in the same consulate, have great discretion over the validity or number of entry visas. At present, it is easier for Hong Kong and Taiwan residents to apply for a B-2 visa with multiple entry for 1 ~ 5 years, while it is easier for Chinese mainland residents to apply for a B-2 visa with multiple entry for three months to 1 year.
The difficulty of applying for a B-2 visa depends on different countries and situations. The United States grants visa-free treatment to tourists from some countries, such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden and Britain. However, at present, nationals of Chinese mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and Singapore do not enjoy visa-free B-2.
In areas where it is difficult to apply for a B visa, such as Chinese mainland, generally speaking, the main factors considered by visa consuls are the necessity of the applicant going to the United States and whether the applicant has an immigration tendency. Financial ability is an important consideration in theory, but it is often not the most important in visa cases. Therefore, applicants should focus on how to provide strong materials to prove that it is extremely necessary to go to the United States and will return to China on time.
