Landscape Composition of Siping Botanical Garden

Siping Botanical Garden is 3 kilometers away from Fengdu County/Kloc-0, 9 kilometers away from the new county, covering an area of about 35,000 mu. The park was built in 1960, 1992 was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Forestry Department, and 1995 was upgraded to a provincial forest park.

The whole park has a pleasant climate, warm in winter and cool in summer; According to the investigation of China Academy of Forestry, it is one of the best-preserved evergreen broad-leaved forests in subtropical low-altitude areas in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The park is rich in animal and plant resources, including more than 0/000 species of plants/kloc-,belonging to 35 national first-and second-class plants. 25 key flowers, rare flowers 1 1 flower. There are 76 species of wild animals, 24 species of amphibians and 23 species of reptiles. There are 92 species of birds, including 4 rare birds under state protection and 6 endemic birds in China.

There are Pinus elliottii introduced from the United States, Eucalyptus provenance demonstration forest cultivated by China and Australia, aerial seeding forest of Sichuan Forestry Department, Sabina vulgaris and Pinus massoniana provenance demonstration garden of Sichuan Academy of Forestry, which have been designated as one of the wildlife monitoring stations in the Three Gorges reservoir area of the Yangtze River by the Ministry of Forestry.

The entire Siping Park consists of Shibagou, Laoya Mountain and state-owned forest areas. With its unique landscape characteristics, it is an ideal place for sightseeing, vacation and leisure, and has the reputation of "Green Pearl on the Yangtze River" and "Little Qingcheng City". With the completion of the Three Gorges Project and the southward migration of Fengdu County, Siping, as the only suburban park along the Yangtze River, has been highly valued by the Fengdu County Party Committee and the county government, and has been listed as an open resettlement base and a key project to enrich the people and counties. Therefore, Siping Botanical Garden plays an increasingly important role in Fengdu tourism.
