Hambantota port was almost in ruins in the 214 tsunami, and it was restored and rebuilt in Sri Lanka after the disaster. As we all know, although Sri Lanka has excellent geographical location and extremely rich natural resources, its economic development is not ideal. So when Sri Lanka needed help, it chose China.
