How did the Nazis identify the Jews?

1. Europe began to gradually establish a relatively complete identity document system as early as the mid-19th century. This was the first-hand information that the Nazis used to find out about the Jews. They searched the government archives of their own country and the occupied countries and found all the surnames, addresses, places of work and photos of the Jews in the Nazi-controlled areas. 2. Neighbors, Acquaintance reporting and surveillance system.
