An Interpretation of Policies Related to Studying in Singapore
Regarding the advantages of studying in Singapore, Singapore will not introduce it too much here. What I suggest now is that you should pay attention to the following points when studying in Singapore:
Rules and regulations of the Immigration Department
Students must carry their student ID cards with them.
Holders of student passes shall not be employed in any form of commercial activities, nor shall they engage in any paid or unpaid work.
Student permit holders are not allowed to participate in any form of criminal acts and drug abuse.
Student permit holders can only attend classes in schools designated by the permit.
Students who do not intend to continue their studies in Huaying after the end of the course need to hand in their student ID cards to our department within 7 days after the end of the course, and go through the formalities of canceling their student ID cards.
Students are not required to submit the original application documents to the Immigration Bureau (unless specifically requested in the student permission letter), but we encourage students to bring the original materials to Singapore for future use.
attendance rate
Students must go to school five days and five hours a week. If they are more than 15 minutes late, they will be regarded as absent.
Students need to maintain at least 90% attendance throughout the semester.
Attendance will be calculated based on daily punching and signature. If attendance does not reach 90%, students will receive a warning letter. If students don't come to school for three consecutive days without a doctor's certificate, they will also receive a warning letter from the school. If a student is absent from class for 7 consecutive days, the school will notify the Immigration Bureau.
Only medical certificates issued by local clinics are accepted; Foreign medical certificates in non-English need to be notarized in English before they can be accepted.
For students whose attendance rate is less than 90%, the Singapore Immigration Department has the right to refuse their application for a student permit.
Sick leave (medical certificate)
Only a medical certificate (MC) issued by a clinic or government hospital approved by the local Ministry of Health will be regarded as sick leave.
Students are required to submit a sick leave form to the International Student Services Department within one week.
If students return to China for treatment, they must show their sick leave notarization. The school will give you two weeks sick leave. After more than 2 weeks, the attendance rate of students is equal to zero. Attendance will be affected.
International student identity card Service Department does not accept medical certificates during the examination.
Notice of departure from Singapore
Students can leave Singapore during school holidays. Students need to go to the international student service department to fill out the NoticeforLeavingSingapore form and submit a copy of the round-trip ticket.
If students need to go back to China for funeral, they must provide relevant documents, and the school will give them two weeks to go back to China for funeral. After more than 2 weeks, the attendance rate of students is equal to zero. Attendance will be affected.
If students leave the country during holidays or classes, they need to fill out forms in the International Student Services Department.
Update student id card
Students need to apply for renewal of their student ID cards 4 weeks before the expiration of their student ID cards or 4 weeks before the end of the course, whichever comes first.
All updated student ID forms will be applied online, and the school will inform students of the application results. Students must hold a valid student permit or social residence permit.
Cancellation of student id card
When students complete the course and do not continue their studies, they need to cancel their student ID card within 7 days.
Students need to bring their passports and student ID cards to the International Student Service Department to cancel their student ID cards.
