The property of immediate family members who have settled in Hong Kong or Macao is not inherited, and only mainland children can inherit it when they settle down; There are other special circumstances that must be solved.

If the helpless elderly and their children in the Mainland depend on their immediate family members and close relatives in Hong Kong, "elderly" refers to mainland residents over 60 whose children have not settled in the Mainland and are left unattended; "Children refer to mainland residents whose parents have not settled in the Mainland or whose parents have settled in Hong Kong and Macao, and whose children are 14 years of age.

Hong Kong and Macao residents with China nationality, regardless of whether they hold foreign passports and travel documents, can apply for a pass as long as they have not declared themselves as foreigners to the nationality management authorities. The following persons can apply for a pass:

1. Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents who were born in Hong Kong and Macao and have China descent;
