Is there a large foreign population in Yichang?

Only Wuhan and Yichang have a net inflow of population, while Huanggang and Jingzhou have a population loss of nearly 2 million. Macheng, Jianli, Xiantao and Tianmen have the most serious population loss in the county.

Yichang is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, at the east exit of the Three Gorges. It was called Yiling in ancient times and has a history of more than 2400 years. It is named after "water is here, mountains are here". It is the birthplace of Chu culture. The city now governs six counties, three cities and four urban areas, with a population of 4 million and a total area of 210.6 million square kilometers.
