What is the origin of Xiaogan's name?

Xiaogan, named after Yong Dong, the dutiful son of the Eastern Han Dynasty, sold himself to bury his father to show filial piety.

Xiaogan is a regional central city in Hubei Province, an important member of Wuhan City Circle and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, a national comprehensive experimental zone for new urbanization, one of the most potential and competitive cities in central China, and its comprehensive competitiveness ranks among the top six in Hubei Province.

Xiaogan is located in the northeast of Hubei Province, bordering on the Yangtze River in the north and the Han River in the east, bordering on Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, about 60 kilometers away from the center of Wuhan and only 30 kilometers away from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, enjoying the urban resources of Wuhan.

Xiaogan landform is plain, hilly and mountainous from south to north, with excellent climate and fertile land. It is an important grain, cotton and oil production base. Rich in geology and mineral resources, it is known as "Gypsum Capital", "Salt Sea" and "Phosphorus Mountain".

Yong Dong Park 1

Yong Dong Park is located in Xiaogan City, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, in the east of Huaiyin Avenue in Xiaogan City, 60 kilometers away from Wuhan City. Xiaogan was also named after Yong Dong's trip to Xiaogan. Built in 1984, it covers an area of 75 mu and is divided into three areas.

2. Shuangfeng Mountain Forest Park

Shuangfengshan Forest Park is located at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain, in the northeast of Xiaogan City, Hubei Province. It is 3 1km away from Xiaogan city, 70km away from Tianhe airport and 70km away from Wuhan city. 107 national highway, Beijing-Guangzhou railway and Beijing-Zhuhai expressway pass through the territory.

Shuangfengshan Forest Park was called "fairyland" in ancient times, with beautiful peaks, rugged rocks, lush trees, fragrant flowers and birds, green waters and green mountains and beautiful scenery. Now it is famous as the national forest park with the most scenic spots and the largest area in northeast Hubei, and it is also the only national forest park within 200 kilometers around Wuhan.

Nathan forest is lush, with a forest coverage rate of 88.2% and an altitude of 873.7 meters. There are as many as 54 scenic spots in Shuangfeng Mountain, especially Baiyun Ancient Village, where Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising in the Tang Dynasty, fought, making it the first village in Hubei. 3. Bai Zhaoshan

Baizhaoshan, also known as Bishan, is located in Yandian Town, northwest of Anlu City, Hubei Province, and belongs to the remnant vein of Dahongshan. Most of the forests on the mountain are conifers and cypresses. The forests are dense, but there are no tall trees. Anlu City has opened up a Taibai tourist route with Baizhaoshan as the main body. Famous scenic spots include Baizhao Temple, Taohuayan, Libai Reading Platform, Taibai Hall, Taibai Forest, Zhuguoquan, Foot Washing Pool and Pen Washing Pool, and each scenic spot has a beautiful legend.
