Traffic in Shenmu County

The G65 Baomao Expressway runs through the west of the county, and the S20 Chongqing-Shanghai Expressway runs through the county, forming a high-speed traffic network.

Xibao Highway started construction on 1947. The highway runs from Xi 'anbei to Baotou via Yan 'an, Suide and Yulin, with a total length of1038km. The west of the county seat is only 26.4 kilometers away from Erlin Rabbit Town, which belongs to Baotou-Yulin section. 1947 was completed and opened to traffic in September, which is the first expressway in Shenmu county.

On April 1956, 1 1, the construction of Yufu Highway was officially started. The highway runs from northeast Yulin to Fugu via Gaojiabao and Shenmu. Fuxin highway was built at 1969. It starts from Fugu in the west, passes through Gushan, Xinchengchuan and CIMC to Xinjie in Inner Mongolia, with a total length of143.5km.. Shidian Highway was built in 1969. The highway starts from Shihezi in the north of the county and goes north to Dianta. From May 1984 to September 1986 Shidian Highway was changed to secondary oil circuit.
