Is the nationality of China baby born in Australia China or Australia?

According to Australian immigration law, if one parent is an Australian citizen or permanent resident PR, a newborn baby born in Australia can apply for Australian citizenship or join the original nationality of either parent.

If both parents are only Australian PR, and the newborn is born in China, and the child is still a citizen of China, and cannot automatically obtain PR status as an Australian resident, parents can apply for a permanent residence visa for the child outside Australia.

If both parents are not Australian citizens and do not have a permanent resident PR visa, whether it is a student visa, a work visa or other temporary residence visa, even if the newborn is born in Australia, it cannot obtain Australian citizenship.

If newborns born in Australia can live in Australia for more than 10 years, they can apply for Australian citizenship after meeting the cumulative 10 years.
