From the Han Dynasty to the Western Jin Dynasty, it was always Gaoyao County. Since the Western Jin Dynasty, it has been fortunate to have Pingping, Qingtai and other counties, and it was restored to Gaoyao County in the Northern Song Dynasty. The organizational system of Gaoming County began in the Ming Dynasty. In the 11th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1475), Gaoming County was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhaoqing Government until the end of Qing Dynasty.
After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Gaoming County belongs to Xijiang District, and 1952 belongs to the administrative region of central Guangdong. 1958 Gaohe County, jointly built with Heshan County, is under the jurisdiction of Jiangmen District, and then under the jurisdiction of Zhaoqing District, Foshan District and Foshan District. 198 1, Gaoming county and Heshan county resumed their organizational systems, Gaoming county still belongs to Foshan area, and 1983 belongs to Foshan city. 1994 Gaoming County was changed to county-level Gaoming City, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province and managed by Foshan City.
