After Pingtan was approved to establish a county in 19 12 (the first year of the Republic of China), the situation was turbulent, bandits were rampant, and the plague spread, making it difficult for the people to live and work in peace and contentment. Especially after the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Japanese aggressors and puppet troops invaded Pingtan many times, plundering and killing, which led to the withering of various industries and people's livelihood.

After the outbreak of the war of liberation, Pingtan was once again in trouble until the liberation of the whole territory in September 1949.

Eight. In the historical event of Pingtan, Fujian, in 699, eight townships, including Wan 'an (including Haitan Island) in the south, broke away from Changle County and established wanan county.

In the first year of Tianbao (742), wanan county was renamed Tang Fu County, and Pingtan belonged to Tang Fu County. In the first year of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms (933), Tang Fu County was changed to Fuqing County, and Pingtan belonged to Fuqing County.

In the Song Dynasty and the early Song Dynasty, shepherds were set up in Haitan Island to raise military horses. In the first year of Baoyuan (1038), a patrol inspection department was set up in the middle gate of Haitan (now Zhongmen Village of Su 'ao Town), and it was moved to Haikou, Fuqing, and moved to Zhongmen again in Jiayou (1059), and "Junlu" and "Madaotou" were built around the middle gate.

In the eighth year of Li Qing (1048), Haitan Island was divided into six capitals and seven seas and four capitals and five seas, belonging to Taiping Township, Fuqing County. Dalian, Xiaolian and Yutou are Yongbinli, belonging to Gande Township, Fuqing County. During Emperor Yangdi's reign (1049~ 1054), people were allowed to cultivate land.

Laver became a tribute to the court. In the third year of Xuanhe (1 12 1), fellow countryman Yang Xing 'an and monk Juechong urged the construction of Taiping Bridge (south of Xiwufeng Village in Pingyuan Township).

The bridge is 18m long and is made of stone. Ships can pass under it and be buried by flying sand. 10 year (192 1), local people Lin weiju and others advised it to rebuild, and it was converted into a simple wooden bridge due to the large amount of work.

In the second year of Yuan Zhen (1296), the number of households in Fuqing County reached 40,000, and it was promoted to Fuqing Prefecture. Pingtan belongs to Fuqing area.

During the Zheng Zheng period (134 1~ 1370), a nun in buddhist nun, Chen Jing dug a pond in the northwest of Dang Sheng village in this plain town for irrigation. The water depth is more than ten feet, and drought does not dry up. Later known as the nun pool, it still exists today.

In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369), Fuqing Prefecture was renamed Fuqing County. Pingtan or Fuqing.

In the twentieth year of Hongwu (1387), Zhou Dexing went to Fujian to defend the Japanese. Fuzhou Youwei commanded Li Yi to go to Haitan to ask for bribes, so he deceived his boss on the grounds that "Haitan is far from the county seat, and it is a journey from Little Ryukyu" and ordered the island residents to move to the mainland. However, although the resident tax still exists, Yang Lin, a villager in front of the mountain gate, asked to be exempted from the fake tax, but he was imprisoned for 18 years and was released only in the first year of Xuande (1426), and the fake tax of Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong immigrants was exempted.

During Chenghua period (1465~ 1487), Qi Lin, a native of Shanmenqian village, built a water mill to grind rice and flour, which was the earliest milling industry in China. In the thirty-first year of Jiajing (1552), the Japanese made an insurrection, and the coastal areas of Fujian realized its harm.

Lian Jie (now Zhongmen Village, Suao Town) and Wantou Street (now Donghai Village, Liu Shui Town) in the coastal market town of China were all destroyed. Residents on the island have built villages to resist Japan.

In May of the 43rd year of Jiajing (1564), Qi Jiguang, the commander-in-chief of Fujian, led the troops across the sea, annihilating more than 2,000 Japanese pirates who fled to Haitan Island. At the beginning of Qin Long, two tourist camps, Haitan and Wu Tong, were added along the coast of Fujian.

Haitan brigade battalion has a capacity of 30 warships and 669 officers and men. In the 20th year of Wanli (1592), Xu Fuyuan, the governor of Fujian Province, built two fortresses, north and south, on the west bank of Haitan Mountain City (now Pingtan County), urging the people to reclaim land, build camps and garrison for defense.

In the thirty-second year of Wanli (1604) and1February 29th, a major earthquake (Quanzhou M8 earthquake) occurred in Wuqiuyu sea area about 50 kilometers southwest of Haitan Island, which caused some coasts to sink and damaged the natural landscape. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Fuqing people operated passenger transportation from Haikou to Pingtan, Tancheng and Suao, and there were two ferries, one was Limeidu and the other was Nanmendu.

In the third year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1646), in September, Qing soldiers attacked Fujian, and the Longwu regime in Nanming was destroyed. Commander-in-Chief Zhou Shuijun led his troops to move from Zhoushan to Haitan to continue the anti-Qing dynasty, and set up a general town in the district (now the county).

In may of the following year, he led the troops to conquer Haikou and Zhendong, and then attacked Fuzhou with his troops. Being outnumbered, he was defeated.

9. Pingtan Cuiyuan Historical Cuiyuan is the only comprehensive park in Pingtan County, Fuzhou City, located in the center of the county, covering an area of 1 10 mu.

Formerly known as the Tree Introduction Garden of County Forestry Bureau. 1993 was converted into a park and opened to the public. After further transformation in 2004, * * invested about 3.23 million yuan. Based on the ecological requirements of returning to nature, living in harmony and reflecting the cultural characteristics of the island, the transformed park is based on plant landscaping, people-oriented, and combines human landscape with natural environment, and is divided into five functional areas: central square area and sports and fitness area.
