China people are a combination of southern paternal genes and northern maternal genes, and O-line genes come from the south?
It is found that the genes of the Han nationality in the north and the south are very similar in the paternal line, but there are significant differences in the maternal line. The human body has 23 pairs of chromosomes. Among them, Y chromosome is a kind of sex chromosome inherited by paternal line. Because there will be no recombination in the process of human inheritance, it can record human genetic information stably and richly. Through the study of Y chromosome, the process of human origin and evolution can be revealed directly.
The researchers of Fudan University determined and analyzed the non-recombination region of Y chromosome and mitochondrial DNA of a representative Han population from 28 northern and southern regions, which covered most provinces in China.
The researchers classified the mitochondrial DNA sequences of the Han nationality into different lineages and counted their distribution frequencies. The results showed that the Y chromosome types and frequency distributions of the southern Han nationality and the northern Han nationality were very similar, indicating that the southern Han nationality was very similar to the northern Han nationality in paternal line and was little influenced by the indigenous people in the south. In matrilineal aspect, the distribution of mitochondrial types between the northern Han nationality and the southern Han nationality is very different, and there are extremely significant differences between the northern and southern Han nationalities, and the southern Han nationality is greatly influenced by the southern aborigines. Generally speaking, the genetic contribution of the northern Han nationality to the southern Han nationality is much higher in the paternal line than in the maternal line, and the contribution ratio of the northern Han nationality in the southern Han nationality decreases from north to south. Han nationality is the largest ethnic group in China and the world, accounting for about 93% of the total population in China and 1% of the total population in the world. The Han nationality began from the 21st century BC to the 8th century BC, and lived in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River valley.
Later, with the change of history, the Han people gradually migrated to the south, from the Yellow River basin to the Yangtze River basin and the Pearl River basin to Taiwan Province Island and Hainan Island.
during the migration of the Han nationality, immigrants from the north and local residents continued to intermarry, advanced culture from the north continued to spread to the south, and the Han nationality gradually formed in the process of blending.
