The Yang family in Bozhou was a chieftain regime in the history of southwest China. From the third year of Qianfu of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty (876), Yang Duan separatized Bozhou and formed a hereditary chieftain regime. Until the twenty-eighth year of Wanli Emperor Ming Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty (1600), the Yang family was destroyed by the Ming government.
