The first emperor of Qin built a mountain in the 37th year (210 BC) Yin County. In the fourth year of Yongjian of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 129), Wu County was established west of the Qiantang River in Kuaiji County, and the government of Kuaiji County was moved to Shanyin. During the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-265), it belonged to Wu and was still governed by Kuaiji County. In the first year of Yongning (301 AD), Emperor Hui of the Jin Dynasty restored Kuaiji County and Shanyin County. During the Yongding period of Emperor Chenwu of the Southern Dynasty (557-559 AD), part of Shanyin County was analyzed and placed in Kuaiji County. In the ninth year of Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (AD 589), the two counties were merged and called Kuaiji County, which belonged to Wuzhou. In the first year of Daye (AD 605), Yuezhou was established, and the state was governed in Kuaiji County. The county system was restored in three years. In the fourth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (AD 621), the county was abolished and Yuezhou was restored. Three years later, Shanyin County was restored, and the prefecture and county were governed by the same city. After that, Shanyin County was occasionally abolished, but after it was reestablished in the 10th year of Yuanhe (815 AD), Shanyin and Kuaiji were co-established and governed in the same city until the end of the Qing Dynasty. In the meantime, at the beginning of Liang Taizu's reign, Qian Liu, King of Wuyue, was promoted to Yuezhou as the East Prefecture. In the third year of Taiping and Xingguo's reign in the Song Dynasty (978 AD), Yue Prefecture was restored. In the fourth year of Jianyan of the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1130), Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty stationed in Yue Prefecture. In the following year, the Yuan Dynasty was changed to Shaoxing, and Yue Prefecture was promoted to Shaoxing Prefecture. Shaoxing got its name from this. From the Yuan Dynasty to the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1276 AD), the government was abandoned and a road was built, which was built as Shaoxing Road.
