How long do I have to live in America every year?

hello

The first requirement that any investor who obtains a visa from a consulate outside the United States must comply with is to enter the United States within 180 days after the consulate issues the visa. Investors must determine their place of residence after entering the United States. Evidence of residence intention includes opening a bank account, obtaining a driver's license or social security number, paying state and federal income tax, renting or buying a house. If the nature of the enterprise or occupation requires, American residents can also work overseas.

For those permanent residents who live outside the United States, we recommend that investors and their families return to the United States at least once every six months. Generally speaking, the longer investors and their families stay in the United States, the less likely they will be "renounced" by the US government in the future. If an investor has to leave the United States for more than one year under certain circumstances, he needs to apply for a "re-entry permit" from the US government. This permit allows investors to maintain their permanent resident status for up to two years after leaving the United States without having to re-enter the United States.

hope this helps
