Chenghai district social undertakings

Centipede dance is a large-scale square animal dance, which was initiated by Chen and his friend Shi Wenyong from Tongzhi to Guangxu. It has a history of more than 100 years, and it is constantly evolving and improving, which has special historical value in studying Chaoshan traditional culture and sacrificial customs. In June 2008, centipede dance was selected into the national intangible cultural heritage list.

Chenghai lantern riddle

Lantern riddles originated from ancient argot, which is a cultural activity of wits and courage. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, they had developed into the local customs and culture of Chenghai. From 65438 to 0999, Chenghai was named "the hometown of ethnic and folk lantern riddles" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture. In May, 2000, Chenghai was named as "the hometown of folk lantern riddles in China" by the Ministry of Culture. Lotus Village Tourist Area is located in Lianhua Town, which is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and the first 4A-level tourist attraction in the whole province. The main attractions are Lianhuashan Hot Spring Resort, Natural Leisure Farm, Lotus Temple and Herbal Garden.

Laiwu tourist resort

Laiwu Tourist Resort is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a provincial-level tourist resort, which is located in the eastern seashore of Chenghai District, with an area of 1.42 square kilometers. Laiwu Island is like a goddess lying on the waves, with twin peaks like milk, and is known as "beauty to the sky". "Laiwu Rising Sun" is one of the eight ancient scenes in Chenghai. The bunker built in Kangxi of Qing Dynasty is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province.

Tashan tourist scenic spot

Tashan tourist scenic spot is located at the foot of Nanzhi Mountain, covering an area of 2,000 mu. Tashan Ancient Temple was built in Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, with Guanyin statue in the Yuan Dynasty, kiln porcelain in the Ming Dynasty and cliff stone carvings in previous dynasties.

Chencifu former residence tourism area

Chen Cifu's former residence tourist area is located in Qianmei Village, Longdu Town, a famous Chinese historical and cultural village, and is one of the new eight scenic spots in Shantou. Chen Cifu's former residence is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 25,400 square meters, with a construction area of1.6500 square meters, and is known as "the first overseas resident in Lingnan".

Kelong Qianshuyuan

Cologne Thousand Tree Garden is located in Guanhu Community, Guangyi Street, covering an area of 300 mu, integrating leisure, gardening and science and technology education. The "Guishan Western Han Architectural Site" next to the park is a cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province.

Huang Zheng hometown scenic spot

Huang Zheng's hometown scenic spot is located in Huafu Community, Guangyi Street, covering an area of 562 mu. Huang Zheng, namely Zheng Xin, established Daxin Emperor in 1767, and he annexed the Wu Li Dynasty in Thailand. Washington Community is the hometown of Huang Zheng. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Zheng Xin's relatives returned from Thailand to build the Huang Zheng Monument. Thai royalty, politicians and overseas Chinese living in Thailand often come to visit and worship.

Shenshan scenic spot

Shenshan Scenic Area is located in Guanshan Community, Chenghua Street, with many ancient temples and winding paths. "The mountains are surrounded by greenery" is one of the "Eight Scenes of Chenghai". Qin Long Guanshan Academy, built in Ming Dynasty, is a key cultural relic protection unit in Chenghai District.

Chengyanggang ancient village scenic spot

Chengyanggang Ancient Village Scenic Area is located at the foot of Huqiu Mountain in Xia Lian Town. Chengyanggang Village is the first batch of "ancient villages in Guangdong", and its historical and cultural relics include the trip of Lu Xiufu, the prime minister of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Zhai Ying site of Chen Diaoyan, an anti-Yuan army, and the ancient Dansha Temple. Gudansha Temple was built in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty, which is a temple view of the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Zhanglin ancient port site

Located in the southeast of Dongli Town, Zhanglin Ancient Port Site is a key cultural relic protection unit in Chenghai District and a famous "overseas Chinese culture" tourist area. The ancient port was the main port for maritime trade and immigration in eastern Guangdong in the early Qing Dynasty. The warehouses, docks, Tianhou Palace, Fengbo Temple, Narcissus Temple and Xitang Garden in Xinxing Street still exist. There are 14 typical Chaoshan residential buildings built by overseas Chinese in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.
