Application conditions

1. Mainland residents may apply to settle in Hong Kong or Macao under any of the following circumstances:

(a) one of the spouses has settled in Hong Kong or Macao; You can also apply to accompany1children under 8 years old.

(2) Having reached the age of 18 but under the age of 60, having parents who have settled in Hong Kong and Macao and have reached the age of 60, and having no children in Hong Kong and Macao, and needing their care.

(3) Those who have reached the age of 60 and have no children in the Mainland, and need to take refuge in children over the age of 18 who have settled in Hong Kong or Macao.

(four) under the age of eighteen, need to take refuge in Hong Kong or Macao parents.

(5) Children of permanent residents of Hong Kong or Macao.

(six) there are other special circumstances that need to settle in Hong Kong or Macao.

Two, the above (two) in the case of "no children from Hong Kong and Macao" refers to the children who do not have the status of permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao or have been approved by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ to settle in Hong Kong and Macao.

Three, the above situation (five) "children of Hong Kong or Macao permanent residents" refers to:

(1) The valid Hong Kong and Macao resident ID card held by parents indicates that the place of birth is Hong Kong or Macao.

(2) The valid Hong Kong and Macao resident identity card held by the father or mother is issued for the first time after seven years from the date of the applicant's birth.

(3) If parents go to Hong Kong and Macao for permanent residence for seven years in their early years, they will return to the Mainland for a period of time for various reasons, and then return to Hong Kong or Macao for permanent residence.

(4) The father or mother holds a valid Macao resident identity card, and at the same time, when the applicant is born, the father or mother also holds a permanent residence permit issued by the Macao Public Security Police.

Application material

I. Procedures to be performed by the applicant

Mainland residents applying to settle in Hong Kong and Macao must apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at or above the county level where their household registration is located, accept interviews and inquiries, and perform the following procedures:

(1) Submit a completed Application Form for Mainland Residents to Settle in Hong Kong or Macao with recent bareheaded color photos (48x33mm) of the applicant and relatives of Hong Kong or Macao to be reunited (children of permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao need not fill in the Application Form for Mainland Residents to Settle in Hong Kong or Macao). Two completed application forms for children born to Hong Kong permanent residents in the Mainland to settle in Hong Kong; Children of Macao permanent residents must submit two completed application forms for China children born to Macao permanent residents in the Mainland to settle in Macao).

(2) Submit the applicant's original household registration book and ID card and submit a copy; Those under the age of 16 shall be accompanied by their guardians, submit their household registration books and identity cards, and submit copies, as well as opinions issued by their guardians allowing them to settle in Hong Kong or Macao.

(3) Copies of Hong Kong and Macao resident identity cards and Hong Kong and Macao residents' passes to and from the Mainland submitted by relevant personnel from Hong Kong and Macao. If the relevant personnel in Hong Kong or Macao are of foreign nationality, they shall submit copies of permanent identity cards and foreign passports of Hong Kong or Macao.

(four) submit the opinions of the applicant's work unit or the local police station on the applicant's settlement in Hong Kong or Macao.

2. Under the circumstances specified in Items (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the application conditions, proof of the relationship between parents and children, such as birth medical certificate and parents' marriage certificate, shall be submitted, of which Item (2) shall also be submitted with proof that parents are childless in Hong Kong or Macao, and Item (3) shall also be submitted with proof that parents are childless in the Mainland.

3. In case of the circumstances specified in Item (6) of the application conditions, the certificate corresponding to the specific special circumstances shall be submitted.

All the above certificates must be submitted in originals and photocopies.

(six) the relationship between children and parents belongs to the following circumstances, but also need to submit the following materials:

The applicant is under the age of 18, born out of wedlock or his parents are divorced, and the parents who raised him will soon or have settled in Hong Kong and Macao, and they can settle in Hong Kong and Macao as the children of husband and wife reunion or according to the application of minor parents. Applicants are required to provide legal and valid proof that they are being raised by their father (mother) who will soon or has settled in Hong Kong or Macao.

2. (7) Applications for children of Hong Kong or Macao permanent residents must be made in duplicate.

3. Procedures for applying for Hong Kong and Macao Pass

After the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ makes a decision to approve the applicant to settle in Hong Kong or Macao, it will issue a Notice of Approval of Settlement for the applicant. The applicant shall go through the cancellation procedures of account cancellation and resident ID card with the Notice of Permission to Settle. The exit-entry administration department of the public security organ shall issue a pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao to the applicant with the certificate of cancellation of the household registration and the certificate of cancellation of the resident identity card submitted by the applicant.

The Hong Kong and Macao Pass is uniformly printed by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security. Valid for three months, valid for one use.

Four. Renewal and reissue of certificates

If the passport to and from Hong Kong and Macao is lost, stolen or damaged, and the applicant applies for renewal or replacement within the validity period of the certificate, it shall apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at the place where the original application was made.
