How to convert TOEFL IELTS scores when immigrating to Australia

Before ETS officially released the IELTS-TOEFL score comparison table. Click the link, enter TOEFL score 100 on the left, and give IELTS score 7 on the right.

But in fact, IELTS 7 corresponds to a TOEFL section, which is 94- 10 1. Students familiar with TOEFL know that 94 and 100 are two different concepts, but both of them correspond to IELTS 7. Is TOEFL 100 more difficult than IELTS 7?

As we all know, in order to apply for a good university, many people will choose a score of 7 for elegant thinking. Similarly, TOEFL will also take the basic examination 100+. However, TOEFL scores are finer than IELTS, and the contents of the two tests are basically similar, so many students will wonder which is easier, TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7? Who is easier to score?

How much is IELTS 7?

IELTS 6 is an Australian immigration score and a British study score. Although there are often some problems in this level of English, the overall meaning can still be understood. If you want to test IELTS 7, you need a vocabulary of 8000+, which is similar to TOEFL 100.

IELTS is different from TOEFL. The final score of IELTS is the average score by adding four scores. The final score is divided into an echelon with 0.5, rounded to the nearest integer score or half a score. Please refer to the following figure:

If the average mantissa is 0.875/0.75/0.375/0.25, add 0. 125 or 0.25, and make progress in whole or half points; If the average mantissa is 0.625/0. 125, subtract 0. 125 and take whole or half points backwards.

Therefore, the IELTS score of 6.75~7. 125 belongs to IELTS 7, and the gap is not small.

Compare CET-4 and CET-6.

IELTS 7 is about equivalent to CET650-700.

TOEFL 100

Toefl 100?

According to the statistics of ETS, if you score about 25 points in reading, listening and writing, you will be in the excellent ranks. However, if you get 25 points in the oral English test (here is just an example, there is no 25 points in oral English), then your score is not enough.

The corresponding level of TOEFL 100.

● More precise details;

● Strong frame thinking ability and rigorous logical ability;

● Fluent oral expression, few mistakes and language output;

Strong writing ability, coherent content and rigorous thinking.

Finally, compare frequently. IELTS score 7 means listening, speaking, reading and writing score 7, so the corresponding TOEFL score is: R24-26；; ; l24-26； S23W27-28 .

From the perspective of TOEFL, TOEFL 100, with an average of 25 points in each item, then the corresponding IELTS score is: R7; l7； S7.5W6.5 .

Obviously, listening and reading are quite difficult, while speaking TOEFL is more difficult and writing IELTS is more difficult.
