Qiu Zeng was born in Tokyo, Japan on December 27, 1974. He immigrated to Los Angeles with his family at the age of 6. He is a child genius with an IQ of over 180. At the age of 12, he appeared on the cover of Time magazine on August 31, 1987, with the title "Asian American Prodigies". He graduated from Harvard-Westlake High School in 1992 and from Brown University in the United States in 1997 with a double major in computer science and applied mathematics and a minor in theater arts.
