Differences between Local Dialect and Putonghua

1, zero initial is less than Mandarin.

All four sounds in Mandarin are zero initials. Although there is always some friction at the beginning of these zero initials in actual pronunciation, this kind of fricative sound is slight, sometimes obvious, sometimes not obvious, so the initial position is a "virtual position". Dialect reads a part of the zero initial of Putonghua as a word with consonants.

2. Nasal sounds on the tip of the tongue are mixed with lateral sounds.

In Putonghua, the voiced nasal sound N and voiced edge sound L on the tip of the tongue are pronounced in the same place, which is an obstacle between the tip of the tongue and the upper gum, but the pronunciation methods are different. N is the airflow from nasal cavity after vocal cord vibration, and L is the airflow from both sides of tongue after vocal cord vibration. These two initials are mixed in Gansu dialect.
