The origin of Gansu province

The name of Gansu province is taken from the initials of Ganzhou and Suzhou. Ci Hai said: "It was named after the initials of Ganzhou and Suzhou." Ganzhou is today's Zhangye City, and Suzhou is today's Jiuquan City, both of which are important towns in the ancient Hexi Corridor. According to historical records, in the Western Wei Dynasty, Xiliangzhou was changed to Ganzhou. Either in the name of Ganjun Mountain or in the name of Ganquan. In other words, the name "Ganzhou" began in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and lasted for 554 years. The name Ganzhou is named after this land.
