Can immigrants instinctively bring pet cats?

Five steps to immigrate to Australia with pets

Step 1: Go to the website of the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Bureau (AQIS) to find out what kind of pets belong to. This category will determine the procedures for pets to go to Australia and the isolation time after going to Australia.

Step 2: Cats and dogs must be implanted with a chip by injection, which contains the unique identification code of global animals, that is, the lifelong electronic identity of pets. Don't do any blood test for cats and dogs before chip implantation, because the test result report must have the chip number.

Step 3: Inject rabies vaccine for pets, and apply for admission after passing the antibody blood test. After receiving the entry permit, you should contact the relevant isolation center to book accommodation for your pet.

Step 4: arrange air transportation for pets, buy air tickets, etc. Ensure that pets have been vaccinated before departure, and carry out designated blood tests and external deworming within 30 days before departure. 4 days before departure, cats and dogs in need should be deworming in vitro again. Prepare all veterinary certificates and other related documents, arrange special containers for pets, and send pets to the plane.

Step 5: After arriving in Australia, the pets will be sent directly to the isolation center by AQIS staff. Owners are not allowed to visit pets at the airport, and the isolation center will provide designated visiting hours. After the period of cat and dog isolation expires, you can go home with your master.
