The original meaning of "this" has two meanings, one is "this" and the other is "fundamental". Because the fruit is born, it is called this, which is the relative cause and effect; Branches grow from roots, so roots are called roots, which is the antonym of branches.

In view of the Buddha fruit created by Amitabha, it is called "origin" to explore its origin and initial vows. From this point of view, all the 48 wishes are born from the earth and are called original wishes.

Although the forty-eight wishes are boundless, they have a fundamental purpose, that is, the eighteenth wish. As the saying goes, everything will change without one's religion. Therefore, the Master of Good Guidance interprets forty-eight wishes, every wish and every wish as the eighteenth wish to die while chanting Buddha, and says,' Forty-eight wishes, one wish: I am blessed with Buddha, and all beings in ten places call me in my name. I was born in our country, down to ten thoughts. If I don't live, I won't be enlightened.

He also said:' Forty-eight wishes, only knowing the name of Amitabha, you can live', and said:' Forty-eight wishes, chanting Buddha is the closest.

Why is eighteen vows to die of chanting Buddha the basis of forty-eight vows? Because the other 47 wishes are all around, serving the eighteenth wish. At the same time, other wishes are also meaningful because of the eighteen wishes of all beings to read Buddha and die; Otherwise, it is meaningless. For example, "the country has no three evil wishes", "no more three evil wishes" and "all-body gold wishes" and so on. What's the point of making these wishes if there are no sentient beings who read Buddha and die? Making such a beautiful vow and building such a beautiful paradise is not to let all beings die!

For example, the Three Gorges migrants, the government should build new villages, houses, land, communications and roads. What is the purpose of all this? The fundamental purpose is to let new residents live. When immigrants move in, houses, roads, etc. What was built before is meaningful. If no one comes to live, this new village is meaningless.

Amitabha established the western paradise in order to immigrate us from the world of concubines to the paradise. From this, there are 47 wishes such as "the country has no three evils", and the fundamental direction and goal is the 18 wish. Therefore, the mentor interprets each of the 48 wishes as the 18 th wish.

The eighteenth wish has nine sentences and 36 words:

Suppose I get Buddha, ten sentient beings, believe in music, want to live in our country, and even ten thoughts. If I don't live, I won't get enlightenment. Except for the five inversions, slander the right law.

This eighteenth wish is the core of the whole forty-eight wishes, the place where Amitabha transcends the ten buddhas, the place where Amitabha can be called the' Buddha king in the light', and the big root for all beings to liberate themselves into buddhas. Because of this wish, the name of Amitabha Buddha was praised as incredible by the Ten Buddhas, and all living beings died as Buddhas. Its importance can be imagined.

Explain the general meaning first, and then try to explain it sentence by sentence according to the idea of a good guide to help everyone understand and study together.

Translated in the vernacular, this wish is as follows:

If I hide my Buddhism and become a Buddha, all beings in the world will die if they really believe in my salvation and want to live in our country, but if they live ten times longer, they will say my name. All beings can't live after chanting Buddha, and I will never become a Buddha. He committed five crimes, except those who slandered the right law.

In essence, this wish reflects an agreed relationship between Buddhism and Tibet, who is the savior and becomes Amitabha, and ten sentient beings are saved, about the pure land of death.

Agreements in the world are always decided by both parties in advance; However, this agreement to die in the pure land was unilaterally initiated by the Buddha of Dharma and Tibet, without asking us all beings: I want to achieve the pure land for you and let you die. Do you promise or not? If you promise, I will do it; Forget it if you don't promise. Don't! Buddhism, Buddhism and Tibet initiated the great wish that all living beings in the ten countries would live in their pure land, and actively practiced to achieve this great wish, regardless of whether all living beings knew it or not, whether they were conscious or not. In other words, even if we don't have this consciousness and don't want to go to the afterlife, Buddhists, collectors and bodhisattvas will definitely let us go to the afterlife. We must go to the afterlife! Of course, we always need to commit ourselves to the afterlife of all beings, but this is the wish of the Buddha. He wants a person who covets five desires and doesn't want to go to the pure land to open a heart that wants to live; He wants a person who doesn't believe in Buddhism at all to believe in Buddhism, recite its name and live in the pure land. In this sense, Buddhism, Buddhism and Tibet are completely and absolutely active in initiating great wishes, while we ten beings are passive. Today we agreed that we would like to go to another life, which we have always called the Buddha's name. Some people will think that Amitabha took me to the pure land because I was willing to live another life subjectively and study hard for the Buddha. If I don't want to die, the Buddha can't help it! So I am active and the Buddha is passive. This is a short-sighted view. From the point of view of the scriptures, the first, second, sixth and seventh sentences,' If you get Buddha, you will get ten lives, and if you don't live, you won't get enlightenment', which means that Buddha, Tibetan and Bodhisattva unilaterally take the initiative to undertake the afterlife of all beings. My Buddhism is to become a Buddha in order to achieve the afterlife of the tenth generation. If the ten sentient beings are achieved in the afterlife, they will become Buddhas from Dharma. If we can't achieve the afterlife of ten sentient beings, then I will never become a Buddha. Therefore, the event that one of the ten living beings dies is entirely borne by Buddha, Tibetan Buddha and Buddha. The scripture says' bear the burden for all sentient beings', and how can all sentient beings who commit the crime of life and death bear this extremely heavy burden of robbery and asceticism? It was the Buddha who became Amitabha and carried it for us. This is why we relax. This method can be called a relaxing method and a happy method.

Buddha, Buddha, and Tibetan Buddhism have achieved the afterlife of all beings. Our previous lives were achieved there, and how did we get them?

I hope that the remaining five sentences in the article, that is, the requirement of becoming Amitabha Buddha put forward by Dharma Tibetan Buddha, are also the easiest to set an afterlife for us. Among them, the sentence "I believe in music and want to live in China for ten years" is positive. People who want to live in the pure land must have sincerity and confidence, and often recite Buddha. If you can truly believe in life, you will keep chanting Buddha, and you will surely die.
