IELTS Listening Scoring Criteria

IELTS listening scoring standards are as follows:

IELTS listening part:

Listening part 1*** has 40 questions, and each question has the same score , one point is awarded for each correct answer; if you answer 10-12 questions correctly, the score is 4 points, and if you answer 13-15 questions correctly, the score is 4.5 points; if the number of correct questions reaches 16-36, the score is 5-8 points; If the number of correct questions reaches 36 to 40, the corresponding score is 8 to 9 points; the highest IELTS score is 9 points.

Application requirements:

The IELTS test is an English language proficiency test set for those who plan to study abroad or work in countries and regions where English is the language of communication. It is divided into academic tests. (Category A, Academic) and training test (Category G, General Training).

The IELTS test and the IELTS test for UK visas and immigration include paper-based and computer-based test modes. Candidates are free to choose the test mode that suits them.

Candidates can choose to take the exam at any test center across the country according to their own circumstances, without geographical restrictions. The total IELTS score is 9 points and the validity period is usually 2 years.

Computer-based test mode:

Candidates who choose the computer-based test mode will take the three parts of the listening, reading and writing test through the computer-based test mode, and participate in the "Everyone Dialogue" format Speaking test. The computer-based test mode is suitable for IELTS Academic and Training, and IELTS Academic for British Visa and Immigration.

The computer-based test mode is completely consistent with the traditional paper-and-pencil mode in terms of test fees, test content, scoring standards, difficulty levels, test question types, test security settings, etc.

The computer-based test mode exam dates are scheduled multiple times a week. Registration ends 7 days before the exam date. Candidates can check their scores within 5-7 days after the exam ends. The speaking test is usually scheduled on the same day as the computer-based exam or in conjunction with the exam date. Computer-based test dates are as close to each other as possible.
