How to apply for a Canadian visa?

Step 1？ Prepare materials

What information do I need to apply for a Canadian individual tourist visa? Take on-the-job personnel as an example:

Chinese mainland personal passport, original.

Please provide the original personal passport of Chinese mainland and ensure that your passport meets the following requirements:

1. At least 6 months after the end of the trip;

If your passport has been updated, please provide the original of your old passport. If it is lost, it is required to provide an explanation of the loss in English;

3. The old passport is in the range of 7-47 pages (the electronic passport is in the range of 8-45 pages), and there are at least 2 blank visa pages;

Please sign your name in Chinese on the last page of your passport. Preschool children can sign their names in Chinese by their parents (pencils are not allowed) (except electronic passports);

5. Passports illegally staying in Canada are not accepted.

Id card and copy

Please provide a copy of Chinese mainland ID card and ensure that your ID card meets the following requirements:

Copies of the front and back of the ID card within the validity period (both sides need to be copied on a piece of paper).

Household registration book and copy

1. The whole book (please copy it to the first blank page continuously). If the parents of the unmarried applicant and the spouse of the married applicant are not in the same household registration book, please bring the whole copy of their household registration book together;

2. If it is a collective account, you can provide a copy of the collective account page or the original household registration certificate that is still valid at the time of departure.

Photos and originals of certificates

1. Four identical (35mmX45mm) 3-inch color photos with white background within half a year;

2. Pinyin of the name and date of birth (date/month/year) need to be marked on the back with a pencil or ballpoint pen (not an ink pen);

3. The photo must cover the whole face, neck and shoulders of the applicant. Do not wear sunglasses. If you wear glasses, there must be no reflection in the photo;

4. The applicant must look straight into the camera, keep his head level and be in the center of the picture.

Marriage certificate or divorce certificate, copy

If married, please provide a copy of marriage certificate (if divorced, please provide a copy of divorce certificate or a copy of court mediation). If the certificate is lost, you need to go to the police station/civil affairs bureau to issue relevant certificates.

Employment certificate, original

English leave permission printed on company stationery and signed by the employer is credible. The contents include: name, position, income, entry time, purpose of going abroad, leave permission time, signature and official seal of the person in charge. Indicate the employer's full name and address, as well as telephone and fax numbers.

Note: Business travelers cannot sign by themselves (unless they are legal representatives, they can sign the employment certificate); People in the same trade are not allowed to sign each other.

Business license or organization code certificate and its copy.

Provide a copy of the business license within the validity period and affix the official seal (non-enterprise units can use the organization code certificate instead). The business license or organization code certificate must have the annual inspection seal of the latest year. (If the applicant is a legal person, please provide the original)

Proof of assets (you can use the proof of assets in the name of your spouse) and the original.

Itinerary and copy

1. Full itinerary (in English);

2. The entire flight reservation record (which must be consistent with your English travel itinerary) (English);

3. The whole hotel reservation record (which must be consistent with your English travel itinerary) (in English).

Personal information form and original

This form can be downloaded from the Canadian Visa Application Center, and the true and complete visa application form is filled in and signed by myself. Ensure that the contact telephone number is true and effective, and keep it open, which is convenient for the consulate to contact.

Submit the application and pay.

You can choose the way to submit your application according to your personal situation. If you submit it in person, you can choose the nearest Canadian Visa Application Center (CAVC).

1. Apply online

If you choose to apply online, you must make an electronic copy of the document with a scanner or camera and pay the fee with a valid credit card. Determine whether you meet the requirements and apply online. The online application service fee is 65438 yuan +049.5 yuan.

2. Personal submission

Bring your passport, photo, completed and signed form, documents listed in the list and corresponding fees to the Canadian visa application center.

("CVAC") Submit the application. CVAC will charge necessary service fees. When you come to CVAC to submit your application, you have to pay the service fee in cash. Service fee of RMB per applicant 187 yuan.

If you submit documents at the visa application center, please fill in the service agreement form before submitting the visa application.

3. Submit the application by mail.

You can mail the application materials to the visa application center. When submitting an application by mail, you can pay according to the payment guide of the mail application and check the remittance bank information. Each applicant needs to pay the service fee of 187 yuan. If you need to return the application materials by express delivery, you need to pay an extra 43.4 yuan. CVAC will send an application acceptance email within two working days after receiving the submitted mailing application, and inform the application inquiry number.

4. Submitted through travel agencies or travel websites, travel agencies charge a certain service fee.

Waiting for visa processing

Reply for the first time after two weeks from the date of application, during which you can click to inquire about the application processing.

Get a passport

How can a Canadian visa officer collect or return the application materials after processing your application?

1. If you choose to come in person or entrust others to collect the returned materials, you will receive an email informing you to come.

How does CVAC get the returned data?

2. If you choose to return the materials by mail or postage prepaid, CVAC will return them to you by courier after receiving the materials from the Canadian visa office.

Suggested processing time

In case of tourist season, the processing time of Canadian embassy will be extended to 15-20 working days. Applicants are advised to start processing at least 2 months in advance.

Matters needing attention in Canadian visa application

1. Canada visa does not require appointment and interview.

2. Canada is an immigrant country with a low visa rate. Applicants are advised to have exit records from developed countries. If there are not many exit records, please try to provide other supporting materials to improve the visa rate.

All Chinese documents must be translated into English.

4. Applicants should provide true and clear travel purpose and itinerary.

5. For the elderly over 60 years old, the embassy may randomly check and ask for a physical examination in a designated hospital. Minors under 18 are not allowed to apply for a Canadian tourist visa alone.
