Jiangya Zhenjiang Ya Dam

Jiangya Reservoir, located in Jiangya Town, is a key project to eradicate floods in Lishui City.

It is listed as a key project of the Ministry of Water Resources and Hunan Province. The project mainly focuses on flood control and has comprehensive benefits such as power generation, irrigation, shipping, water supply and tourism. The total storage capacity of the reservoir is 1.74 billion cubic meters, including 740 million cubic meters for flood control, 300,000 kilowatts of installed hydropower capacity, 85,000 mu of irrigated farmland, and the waterway is improved 1.24 kilometers, providing domestic water for more than 50,000 people. In addition, the reservoir is adjacent to Wulingyuan scenic spot, and the magnificent scenery of the high gorge out of Pinghu will add a lot of color to the scenic spot.

Successive ministers of the Ministry of Water Resources, from Minister Yang Zhenhuai to Minister Niu, visited Jiangya many times and made specific arrangements and important instructions on the bonus, progress and immigration of the project, which made the project go smoothly.
