Can Hubei people stranded in Thailand return?

Tourists from China were very sensitive during the epidemic, and many places indicated that they would persuade them to return. If Hubei people stay abroad, can they return to China after the quarantine period? Everyone responded to the need to stay in Thailand.

Earlier, according to the latest document issued by the National Immigration Bureau of Thailand, due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the China government ordered the closure of Wuhan, Huanggang and Ezhou airports from June 23rd, resulting in a large number of China tourists unable to return home and stranded at Thai airports.

In this regard, in order to solve the urgent needs of tourists, the Immigration Bureau decided to waive the detention fine for tourists stranded in Thailand for the above reasons according to Article 54 of the Entry-Exit Administration Law.

According to the Thai Immigration Bureau, China tourists stranded in Thailand due to the closure of Wuhan, Huanggang and Ezhou airports have been exempted from detention. From now on, the scope of application of the above policy will be extended to all China citizens who have entered the country with tourist visas or landing visa due to the novel coronavirus epidemic and stay in Thailand. The specific procedures will be handled directly when they leave the country. Thailand stressed that the introduction of this temporary policy does not mean that China citizens can stay in Thailand for a long time at will.

It should be noted that this measure is only applicable to return air tickets and China tourists whose destinations are indeed the cities around the closed airport, as well as tourists from the truly affected areas. Other China tourists who are not in the closed airport area will still be fined as usual.

Due to the suspension of all inbound and outbound flights in Wuhan, China Southern Airlines cancelled three inbound and outbound flights on October 24th, 65438/KLOC-0, resulting in nearly 7,000 tourists stranded at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In order to provide convenience for China tourists who can't return to Wuhan due to flight cancellation, Suvarnabhumi Airport set up an "Airport Operation Center" in Room CIP5 on the 3rd floor of the passenger terminal building from June 25th to February 9th, with the telephone number of 0-2 132-9950.

China citizens who enter the country with tourist visas or tourist arrival visas and are stranded due to the epidemic need to extend their visas. They need to send letters to the China Embassy and Consulate, and the Immigration Bureau will handle them as appropriate. Like other visa extensions in the past, the Thai Immigration Bureau will charge a fee of 1900 baht.

In view of the above policy of Thailand, the China Embassy in Thailand will issue free letters of consular assistance to China citizens who intend to apply for visa extension. The specific handling matters are hereby notified as follows:
