How to test IELTS

1. Registered account: log on the IELTS registration website in official website and register as a user of the online registration system of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education.

2. Prepaid examination fee: choose the examination type that suits you and prepay the examination fee. You can pay online through Alipay and Shouxin Easy Payment, and the system will confirm the payment in time after payment.

Usually, you can go to the UK to study for an undergraduate or master's degree and take the general IELTS academic exam, and the cost is 2 170 yuan/time; Going to the UK for preparatory courses or language classes requires taking the IELTS test for visa immigrants, and the cost is 2220 yuan/time.

3. Booking test sites: Select test sites, test dates and test categories. Every time you book a test center, the system will assign an IELTS registration number and display it on the "My Status" page.

4. Fill in the registration form: you need to fill in the registration form within 30 minutes after booking the examination position.

5. Confirm payment: After confirming the registration, click Confirm to pay the examination fee, which will be deducted from the pre-stored account.

6. Successful registration: After receiving your payment, the IELTS registration website of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education will send you an email to confirm your successful registration.

7. Scheduled speaking test date: After successfully registering for the IELTS test, you can log in to the "View Registered Tests" page of the IELTS test registration website of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education two days before the test registration deadline.

Conditions and requirements:

It is reported that there is no special age limit for the IELTS test, but if it is a minor, a guardian is needed to assist in the confirmation of relevant terms and the statement on the protection of minors, and there are no special requirements and restrictions on academic qualifications.
