The main contents include: the formation and general situation of the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges, the climate of the Three Gorges, the animals and plants of the Three Gorges, etc.

The main exhibits are: silicified wood, golden eagle, cypress branches, black wood, zinc smelting sites and so on.

Between mountains and rivers:

This unit tells the story of the Three Gorges people's inheriting history and creating civilization in the special natural environment, and forming a unique Three Gorges civilization.

The main contents include: Three Gorges residence, Three Gorges tracker, etc.

The main exhibits include: traditional residential buildings in the Three Gorges, woodcut "Study on Xiang Family Tree in Shizhu County", and the main means of transportation in the Three Gorges.

Romance of Three Gorges:

This unit tells the colorful history, culture, myths and legends and magnificent poems spread throughout the ages in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

The main contents include: the story of the Three Kingdoms, hydrological culture, Taoist culture, witch culture and so on.

The main exhibits include: the seal of General Parallel, the bronze statue of Guan Yu, the embroidered "former teacher's watch", the iron pillar of the river lock, the gold belt, the collection of Ming tombs, the seal of Qin Liangyu's "Prince Taibao General Town", the tombstone inscription, Jing Yun, Bai Heliang, the bronze medal of the gold-plated coffin, and the turtle divination of the Tang Dynasty.

This unit tells about the magnificent Three Gorges Water Control Project and the spirit of Three Gorges resettlement. This unit has the first full-week digital seamless screen cinema in China, which can better show the original appearance of the Three Gorges before the impoundment of the Three Gorges Dam.
