Why is Wanzhou called Wanzhou?

In the twenty-first year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (2 16), the history of Wanzhou District, Liu Beifen forbeared to set up Yangqu County to govern Long Beach City today, which was the beginning of the establishment of Wanzhou County. In the eighth year of Jianxing in Shu and Han Dynasties (230), Nanpu County was established in Yangqu, and the city moved to the south bank of Wanzhou District. In the second year of the Western Wei Dynasty (553), Nanpu was changed to Yuquan County and moved to Jiangbei (now Huancheng Road in Wanzhou District). During the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-584), Yuquan County was first changed to Anxiang, which governed Xinzhou and Wan Chuan counties. In the second year of Tang Wude (6 19), Nanpu County was established, leading Nanpu, Wuning and Liangshan counties. In eight years, Nanpu Prefecture was abolished, and in nine years, Nanpu Prefecture was changed to Zhou Pu. In the eighth year of Zhenguan (634), Zhou Pu changed to Wanzhou, in the first year of Tianbao (742), Wanzhou changed to Nanpu County, and in the first year of Gan Yuan (758), Wanzhou was restored and Nanpu County was still ruled. In Song Dynasty, Wanzhou was first placed under Xia Chuan Road and then under Kuizhou Road. It opened its treasure for three years, taking Liangshan as the army and commanding Nanpu and Wuning counties. In the 20th year of Yuan Shizu Zhiyuan (1283), Nanpu County entered Wanzhou and led Wuning County. In the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (13 17), Wuning County entered Wanzhou, and in the sixth year (1373), Wanzhou was reduced to Wanxian County, which belonged to Kuizhou Prefecture. Dongchuan Road was changed at the beginning of the Republic of China, and then it was changed to Dongchuan Road. In the seventeenth year (1928), Wanxian county was established, and in the twenty-fourth year (1935), Wanxian district was established, governing Wanxian (in Shahe), Kaixian, Chengkou, Wuxi, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan, Zhongxian and Shishi.
