Can I get a green card after working in Vietnam for five years?
You cannot get a green card after working in Vietnam for five years. At present, the vast majority of Chinese immigrate to Vietnam and obtain Vietnam's "green card" mainly for work and investment, so they are also investment immigrants. There are two types of investment immigration, one can only immigrate by yourself and your family members, and the other can allow the entire company’s executives to immigrate together. The first type only needs to register a company in Vietnam, invest at least US$50,000, and maintain legal operations for three years before you can apply for a Vietnamese green card and be allowed to bring your family members. The other kind of investment amount is relatively large. If you invest more than 1 million US dollars in a company in Vietnam, and it has been legal for three years, the legal person and executives of the company can apply for immigration. In addition, another way is to marry a Vietnamese citizen and apply for Vietnamese status after seven years. Therefore, you have to marry a local and live there for 7 years to get a green card.
