The phonology of Liyang dialect

The present Liyang, named after the Tang Dynasty, was split from the ancient Liyang (including the present Liyang, Gaochun and a small part of the south of Lishui) 2,500 years ago. It was ruled by different governments in different dynasties, so its phonetic features are different from those of the mainstream Wu dialect. The pinyin used in this paragraph is Baidu liyang dialect Bar liyang dialect Pinyin Scheme.

Liyang dialect belongs to Piling (Changzhou), a Wu dialect in Taihu Lake. According to different pronunciations, it can be divided into Wei Xiang dialect (East) and Shanxiang dialect (West). In the east, Lizhen is different because of the influence of Zhenjiang (Danyang). Specific performance in:

The pronunciation of Yang Yun. /ie/ (with Danyang) is widely spread in towns around Licheng Town (including eastern and western films), which is quite different from the mainstream Wu dialect and Mandarin. A few words, such as "Wang" and "Qin", are nasal. The nasal sounds of a rhyme have dropped a lot, such as "long" and "often", but the Zhuang language group has not. A few words are raised after nose removal, such as "Zhang dzo"

2. I didn't read it for nothing. For example, kan studied ken in Liyang and lan studied len in Liyang. Generally speaking, because of the influence of northern mandarin, he lost the level of reading in vain.

3. Li Yang distinguishes evil, but the initials of dz and Z change regularly in the sentence. Generally, the initial is dz reading the original sound, which may appear in sentences because of the speed of speech and so on, such as "yard" dzayiueu and "playground" tsauza. Generally, the initial z will be pronounced as sz, but it will be Z in the sentence, such as "Yes, goodbye szy veq la" and "Fu is feq zy"

4. Some ai rhymes are pronounced in Mandarin. In the eastern film, Li Zhen pronounced A in the mainstream Wu dialect, and in the western film, he was influenced by Henan immigrant mandarin to read Ai.

5. Mud-muddy characters are mixed with initials, and fine muddy characters are mixed. Such as warm = eggs, while the mother is cold. Generally speaking, it is influenced by Jianghuai Mandarin (Zhenjiang is Huaiguan District).

6. The ancient entering tone characters are completely preserved, but there is no rhyme.

7. Influenced by many factors, such as Danyang, Yixing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wenzhou, Jiangyin, Henan and northern Jiangsu, the local dialect has a subtle Xuanwu dialect.

8. All rhymes are very high. A reads O. If so, ro vango. Entering tone aq is reserved for not reading oq, which is different from Yixing and Jintan in neighboring counties.
