The dam site of Jinchuan Hydropower Station is located about 300m above the mouth of the new company in the north of Jinchuan County, Sichuan Province, about 70 km away from Marcand County and 12 km away from Jinchuan County.

The project is currently in the preparatory stage.

The reservoir inundation involves six villages of Jim, Qingning and Luoer townships in Jinchuan County, and two market towns of Jim Township People's Government and the former Zhoushan District Working Committee. State-owned enterprises and institutions can operate Zhoushan Guanhu Station, Guanyinqiao Forestry Bureau 502 Zhoushan Transfer Station, Jinchuan County Highway Branch Jim and Zhoushan Highway Class. The scope of land acquisition for construction involves about 494 households with 2,273 immigrants. Among them: Jim Township 1 15 households with 694 people; There are 304 households 1244 people in Luoer Township; There are 75 households with 335 people in Qing Xiang. Production needs to resettle 1379 people, and needs to relocate 172 people. 3,586 mu of flooded farmland (permanently occupied farmland 1.800 mu, temporarily occupied farmland 1.786 mu), 883 mu of garden land, 65,438 mu of woodland, 26 mu of other agricultural land, 3,923 mu of flooded grassland, about 205077 m2 of houses, 2 large and small bridges and 365,438 provincial roads.
