The workshop is of overflow type at the dam top. The top of the factory building is connected with the barrage, and the lower part of the factory building is separated from the barrage by a vertical seam. The auxiliary powerhouse is arranged between the dam and the main powerhouse. 220KV switching stations are all arranged on the hillside on the right bank downstream of the dam. The ship lift is located on the left bank. Once it is completed, the construction of the ship lift entrance gate will be stopped. There are 9 vertical shaft Francis turbine generator sets installed in the workshop, with a single capacity of 95MW. 1 single machine capacity 90MW. It is a concrete gravity dam with a maximum dam height of 105m and a total storage capacity of 22 billion cubic meters. The total installed capacity is 855,000 kW, and the annual power generation is 65.438+0.86 billion kW·h, which was started in April, with an annual power generation of 654.38+0.957. 1the first power generation unit was put into operation in April, 1960, 19781October. The reservoir has many years of regulation performance, and the power station mainly undertakes peak regulation, frequency modulation and emergency standby of East China Power Grid, which has comprehensive benefits such as flood control, irrigation, shipping, aquaculture, tourism, water sports, forestry and fruit industry.

The dam site is located in the upper section of Tongguan Gorge, and the drainage area above the dam site is 10480 square kilometers, with an average annual flow of 357 cubic meters per second and annual runoff of11300 million cubic meters. The rock formations at the dam site are Devonian sandstone and Lower Carboniferous sandstone. Small faults and structural joints in dam foundation are well developed. There are 16 small faults in the whole dam foundation. After excavation, the exposed fault width of foundation pit is generally less than 30cm, and the fault dip angle is steep, ranging from 40 to 60. The joints on the left and right bank slopes are dense, the rock mass cutting is mainly fault structure, and the riverbed section is mainly block structure.

The normal water level of the reservoir is 108m, corresponding to the total storage capacity178.4 billion cubic meters, and the dead water level is 86m, corresponding to the storage capacity of 7.574 billion cubic meters. The annual storage capacity is 3.45 billion cubic meters, and the storage capacity is 4.282 billion cubic meters between the flood control limited water level 106.5m and the highest water level 1 14m. The reservoir flooded 2 1 10,000 hectares, and about 290,000 people migrated. 1950 to 1992, the average measured rainfall 1669.2mm, and the average measured runoff for many years10/0/800,000 cubic meters.
