20 19 Macao has a foreigner visa to enter China. Most developed countries do not need an endorsement to go to Hong Kong, while mainlanders need a visa to go to Hong Kong.

According to Article 154 of the Basic Law of Hong Kong, "The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region may exercise entry and exit control on people from all countries or regions in the world", the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is specifically responsible for the visa affairs of foreigners visiting Hong Kong.

At present, the HKSAR has granted visa-free entry to passport holders from about 170 countries and regions, with visa-free stay periods ranging from 7 days to 180 days.

Generally speaking, visa-free treatment is based on the principle of reciprocity. While granting visa-free treatment to passport holders of relevant countries, the Hong Kong SAR Government has also obtained visa-free treatment for passport holders of the Hong Kong SAR. The Basic Law of Hong Kong stipulates that the Central People's Government shall assist or authorize the HKSAR Government to sign visa-free agreements with countries or regions.

Since the return of Hong Kong, the central government has attached great importance to granting visa-free treatment to HKSAR passport holders internationally. The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs often does the other side's work on this issue when holding consular consultations or visa talks with some countries. At present, 146 countries and regions grant visa-free or landing visa treatment to HKSAR passport holders.

The mainland needs to apply for a Hong Kong and Macao Pass to go to Hong Kong, and the stay in Hong Kong is generally within seven days.
