Tadashi Yanai is a famous Japanese businessman. He is the founder and chairman of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., which owns well-known brands such as Uniqlo. Although Tadashi Yanai was born in Japan, his father is a Korean immigrant from China and his mother is Japanese. Masa Yanai was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan in 1949. His father Yanai and others opened a small county trading company in Japan and engaged in import trade business. After graduating from high school, he entered Waseda University School of Political Science and Economics to study.

After graduating from college, Yanai Masaru did not immediately inherit the family business, but chose to work at JUSCO, a famous Japanese department store. In 1972, Tadashi Yanai decided to give up his stable job, return to the family business, and take over his father's Kogun Shoji. Under the leadership of Yanai Masaru, Ogun Shoji gradually developed and expanded, and Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. was established in 1984. In 1985, Yanai Tadashi opened the first UNIQLO store. With high-quality and low-priced products and unique sales strategies, UNIQLO rapidly expanded in the Japanese market.

Today, Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. has become one of the world's largest clothing retailers, and the UNIQLO brand is widely popular around the world.
