What is Guazhou's name now?

Guazhou County, formerly known as Anxi County. In August 2006, it was renamed with the approval of the State Council. Located at the western end of Hexi Corridor, it is Gansu.

There are 2/kloc-0 ethnic groups such as Han, Hui, Mongolia, Tibetan, Manchu, Russia, Oroqen, Hani, Xibe, Tu, Bai, Li, Miao, Zhuang, Tujia and Uygur, and the population of ethnic minorities is 25,079, accounting for 17% of the county's total population. The territory is rich in cotton, cantaloupe, wheat, grapes, licorice, Cynomorium songaricum, cistanche deserticola and so on. It enjoys the reputation of "Hometown of Melon in China", "Hometown of Cynomorium in China" and "Cotton Base" and "Hexi Granary" in Gansu.
