Xue Wanche (? -652), a famous soldier in the Tang Dynasty, Han nationality, was born in Xianyang, Jingzhao, Tang Dynasty (now northeast of Xianyang, Shaanxi Province), originally from Dunhuang (now Gansu Province). Son of Xue Shixiong, a famous soldier in Sui Dynasty. He was originally a general in the Sui Dynasty and came to the Tang Dynasty from Youzhou with his brother Xue. He was awarded the title of general because of his meritorious military campaign, and joined the shogunate Prince Li with Luo Yi, who was appreciated by him. With the change of Xuanwu Gate, he led the East Palace to fight and even retaliated against Qin Gong. It was not until Li Shimin sent someone to show him the prince's head that he laid down his arms and led dozens of riders into Nanshan. Later, Emperor Taizong appreciated his military courage and sent envoys to summon instructions many times before coming back to worship the general. He has made great contributions to Pintü rk, Xueyantuo and Goguryeo, and is still the sister of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, Princess Danyang. Later, he was killed by Sun Chang Wuji for participating in the establishment of Li Ke as emperor.
