1. China citizens who want to go to Korea need to apply for a visa at the Consular Section of the Korean Embassy in China or the Consulate General in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Xi 'an and Wuhan (except those who meet the conditions of visa-free entry permit).
2. Visa types include tourist visa, work visa, business visa and visiting relatives visa. According to the different consular offices, passport and visa types and institutions in the region, the visa application procedures and required materials are also different.
3. 5. Transit passengers. China tourists who hold entry visas from any of the 30 countries in the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe (see Annex for the list) can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa if they go to the above countries or return home from the above countries through Korea. The South Korean side stipulates that such visa-free entry personnel must hold a valid ticket for going abroad within 30 days, and there are no illegal activities such as illegal detention in the above countries. After the expiration of their stay, they must go to a third country and may not return to their original place of departure.
6. Youth study tour. China elementary school, junior high school and senior high school students who enter Korea on the same flight or ship can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa. However, it is necessary for the tour leader, organizer or designated travel agency staff to apply and issue visas to the travel agency staff after confirmation by the embassies and consulates in China and South Korea.
7. Visa applications for official passports must be processed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
8. The validity period of visa application documents such as invitation letter and visa issuance license is 3 months.
9. South Korea has designated three channels for visa processing: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Foreign Affairs Office authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (visa for going abroad on business). Relevant foreign affairs offices, such as Beijing Foreign Affairs Office (visa for going abroad for personal reasons). Travel agencies (visas for private travel abroad) can enjoy the convenience of exempting some materials and shortening the time required for visas through excellent travel agencies designated by the Korean Embassy in China.
